Tryout: April 22 @ 11:00 AM Newington Arena

Is there a U19 Split Season Midget team that caters to the specific challenges of a player attending Prep School?

The answer is YES!!!

The Connecticut Chiefs U19 Prep Elite Split Season Team is exclusively for players attending Prep School. A team made up of players undergoing similar life experiences that are looking for an organization that endorses the Prep route that they have chosen.

A competitive program that will help these young men, already enjoying success at Prep School, prepare for the rigors of the coming season.

A team where players recognize the hard work that it took to get where they are. They understand that only through continued hard work will they continue to achieve higher levels of success.

The Chiefs U19 Prep Elite Split Season Prep Team combines high energy practices with a select game and tournament schedule, built around the specific scheduling challenges posed to a team of elite players attending various boarding schools.

Alumni Game

12/22/2011, 12:48pm (EST)
By Dickie Dunn

Alumni Game draws crowd!!!

On the third Thursday of December, current Chief players and families host the Chiefs families of previous seasons to a holiday party. Newington Arena was packed in anticipation of the tradition of the Chiefs Holiday Alumni game.
After renewing and extending friendships of past seasons, embellishing past glories and of course eating way to much food, the parents are treated to the highlight of the night, the Alumni game. The current CT Chiefs U16 AAA team suits up against their older brethren, who are mostly home from Prep school on holiday break.

After the U16 team promises to take it easy on the old guys, the battle for bragging rights begins. Coach Derek loses the coin toss and takes up position on the Alumni bench while Coach Brandon gets all the talent settled away on the U16 bench.

A spirited attack by the U16 squad gives them an early lead of 3-1 but the wily coaching on the Alumni bench proves to be the difference. With crafty line matching (not cheating) the lead switches back to the Alumni, 4-3. All night a seesaw battle ensued with a highlight penalty shot goal scored by the U16 squad. In the end the talent on the U16 bench could not hold up against the experience on the Alumni bench.

At games end, a spirited game photo was taken, and copies of same will be treasured by all.
