Do you have what it takes to be a Connecticut Chief?

Tryouts March 26, April 3, and April 7

The New Year presents us all with an occasion to reflect upon the past season but more notably, provides an opportunity to look to the future. The Chiefs would like you to take some time as a family, to consider your future aspirations, to look further down the road and consider which option is the best pathway to collegiate hockey.

With that said, how can the Chiefs hockey program help attain this goal?

We believe that a strong educational foundation is the most important objective that a family can set for their children. It is crucial in gaining acceptance into the college of your choice regardless of athletic ability.

The Chiefs hockey program is specificity tailored to the hockey player with the potential for superior academics as well as athletics. It is a program that promotes and rewards achievement in both.

The Chiefs endorse the Prep School route as the best pathway to collegiate hockey. It provides for a superior academic foundation and the level of play required by the collegiate game.

The Connecticut Chiefs U16 Midget AAA Hockey Club is a full season midget program specializing in the development and promotion of student athletes to the Prep School ranks. The Chiefs showcase their players to as many academic and athletic decision makers as possible, affording their players the best opportunity to gain entry into the Prep School of their choice.

These young men have many similar traits that are best described by the following:

·       Depth of  character

·       Desire for academic achievement

·       Passion for the great game of hockey

The Chiefs deliver an exceptionally competitive schedule of 60 plus games, playing Prep School Varsity A&B teams, highly scouted tournaments and a cross section of the most competitive AAA Midget teams in New England. The Connecticut Chiefs midget hockey program has a proven track record of helping families achieve their goals, both academically and athletically. During the past three seasons we have helped player families gain over $600,000 in financial aid to help keep over 30 players' dreams of collegiate hockey alive.

Obviously, the Chiefs program is not for everyone. Do you have what it takes?

Adamson drives home winner 1:05 into Overtime

The CT Chiefs took to the ice with a depleted squad due to injury and sickness against the full bench from Avon. The Chiefs dominanted AOF early in the first period but couldn't maintain the pace. AOF started to turn the tide in their favor and controlled the play for the rest of the first period. The second period was back and forth action with tight checking and defensive play. The score after two periods was still 0-0. The third period started with both teams skating hard. The Chiefs controlled the puck and generated many chances off of transition. AOF at the 4:22 mark of the third scored when wide shot hit a Chief's defenseman and went in the net. The Chiefs pressed for the next few minutes. AOF took a penalty and the Chiefs were on the Power Play. At the 1:12 mark of third Will Gaspar walked off the wall and sent a lazer on net through screens to even the score at 1. Overtime started with Avon getting a perimeter shot on a line rush. The Chiefs transitioned quickly and Connor McKee found Nick Adamsons in front for the OT Winner!
