The Connecticut Chiefs Bantam Major Team is comprised of young men who are at an important crossroads in their academic and athletic lives. It is a year of decisions. What pathway do they follow?
For young men of character, strong academic potential and a passion for hockey, the Chiefs Bantam Major program gives both the player and family the opportunity to explore the possibility of their son fulfilling his ambition by following the Prep route to colligate success.
The Chiefs truly believe that the Prep environment provides the educational platform for maintaining the strong academic foundation that is the cornerstone for success at the collegiate level.
The Chiefs recommend that by following the course set by both our Bantam and highly successful Midget program, our players are afforded one of the best opportunities to gain entry into the Prep School of their choice. For some players the move to Prep is attained immediately from our Bantam Program. For the majority, Prep success comes after continued development in our U16 Midget Program.
The end game is to afford our players the best opportunity to gain entry into the Prep School of their choice. To help achieve that goal, the Chiefs program delivers an exceedingly competitive schedule, ensuring exposure at both the Prep and Collegiate level. The Chiefs showcase its talented students and capable hockey players to as many academic and athletic decision makers as possible. By playing in highly scouted tournaments, against Prep School JV teams, and a cross section of the most competitive AAA Bantam teams in New England, all our players are provided with the cross section of exposure that is key to finding the “best fit” school.
“All our kids want to go to college. We want them to go to college. Lets work together to harness their passion for the game of hockey to help them gain entry into the college of their choice, rather than attending the school they just end up at.”
